Is that how it should smell before any essential oils are added? I used half the baking soda and more arrowroot powder instead. I also am using unrefined virgin coconut oil, if that makes any difference. I was going to buy the Berkley Sports water bottle, but now knowing it doesn't do what I need, I will be buying the ZeroWater tumbler like I originally meant to. Their products apparently filter out all dissolved solids, including flouride. So I plan to buy their water bottle for now. However in the future when I have my own place I will be buying the Berkley standing water filtration system with flouride filters, as well as their shower filter. At this time I live with my grandparents and they are fine with the city water... lol no amount of facts will change their mind, even if I'm buying, so for now, Zerowater will be my choice. Future: Berkley Standing. :) Hope this helps. I also found some interesting but rather expensive information on Brimac Bone Char filtration systems.. In case you are interested. :) Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3109937900042412028.post-48385906507430738092015-03-18T19:16:17.832-06:002015-03-18T19:16:17.832-06:00Buying a kraut pounder ain't cheap. I bought a cheap wooden baseball bat, it is quite long, and a thickish end bit which is good for bashing the veggies, rather than using a mallet. Best done in a stainless steel pot before transferring to a jar (I used old kraut jars, with cork bungs drilled for the wine bubbler).

My new ferment is a jar I had over, one of several, from buying mango chutney in bulk (BIG jar) and transferring chutney spare jam jars (which I did as a matter of routinne and was using as a rice container), which keeps well in the cool cupboard. Fortunately the mouths of the mango chutney jars are the same size as the kraut jars so the cork bungs will fit both.snoekiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09395663875871583168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3109937900042412028.post-48191712121880344532015-03-16T23:12:57.846-06:002015-03-16T23:12:57.846-06:00Hello Mollie!

This is the first time I've infused herbs this way: in other recipes i've cooked them gently on the stovetop or the slow cooker for say 30 minutes or overnight, or I've left them in a jar to infuse for a month or so. This method uses heat to speed up the process and tries to get the most out of the herbs, I suppose. Anyway, I made the cream but my baby's not due for another 6 weeks or so. Hopefully it helps!Monahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13657107411233736809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3109937900042412028.post-72544714322497868952015-02-25T22:33:18.632-06:002015-02-25T22:33:18.632-06:00I did the slow cooker with the herbs, and after da...I did the slow cooker with the herbs, and after day 5 - the herbs turned black.
