They use all recycled products in their bathrooms, and also had cafe's with good and healthy choices.

Having grown up in DC, and having visited the Smithsonian many times, this is a new and welcomed change. It isn't totally perfect, like your experience, but it is definitely an improvement!Thistlemoonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17898600488153652504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3109937900042412028.post-2482570456462661442009-10-19T03:19:24.953-06:002009-10-19T03:19:24.953-06:00I love going to the zoo with my kids! I'm planning to go to the Singapore Zoo with my kids on this coming school holidays, probably end of November or early December. My younger brother is staying there. So, very much looking forward to the trip!My Little Spacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11355264641236573775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3109937900042412028.post-54496926035634539072009-10-18T17:35:54.267-06:002009-10-18T17:35:54.267-06:00I wish this zoo was closer to me because I love th...I wish this zoo was closer to me because I love the fact that they have a restaurant that serve local organic and healthy foods. Their food look really delicious and I'm just loving that go bananas pressed sandwich too

Sadly the zoo here in NYC is nothing like the Lincoln Park Zoo.Jessiehttp://simplyscrumptiousfoodie.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3109937900042412028.post-44177745958833385902009-10-18T16:54:15.241-06:002009-10-18T16:54:15.241-06:00Great post! very interesting info. Which is why I ALWAYS bring our own food when we travel :o)Marillyn Beardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17713508002579679875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3109937900042412028.post-52531030407822955312009-10-18T07:15:05.044-06:002009-10-18T07:15:05.044-06:00great post! looks like you all had a great time. y...great post! looks like you all had a great time. you make a good point that places like zoos should have organic eateries to educate the public on how vital it is to eat healthy foods and use sustainable materials. i always cringed when i had to pay $10 for a puny salad with ingredients from who knows where at an amusement park, but would have no problem paying the same price for a filling organic one! let's hope more facilities across the country begin copying this zoo!Brie: Le Grand Fromagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12336500817219555030noreply@blogger.com
